At the heart of Aava is our restaurant — a modern Kota inspired by one of the most traditional gathering places of the North.The open fire creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere from morning until evening. Large windows bring in the surrounding Arctic landscape and open views towards the northern sky, while comfortable dining, warm hospitality and the informal spirit of Lapland come together around the fire.Whether you join us for the breakfast buffet, a casual bistro meal during the day, drinks by the fire or our Lapland-inspired dinner buffet in the evening, the restaurant is designed to feel like a natural part of your stay at Aava.

You don’t need to be staying at Aava Glass Igloos to dine with us. Aava Restaurant welcomes outside guests for breakfast, our all-day bistro and Lapland-inspired dinner. Table reservations are recommended, especially for breakfast and dinner.

Arctic days do not always follow a schedule — and neither should lunch.Our all-day bistro offers relaxed dining when you return from an adventure, feel like something warm during the afternoon or simply prefer to spend the day close to your igloo.The menu combines familiar favourites with Finnish and northern influences, using quality ingredients and uncomplicated flavours.

Lapland Dinner

As evening falls, the restaurant becomes a gathering place around the open fire. Our daily Lapland-inspired dinner buffet brings together the flavours of the North in a relaxed setting. The menu changes with the season and combines carefully selected meat, fish and vegetarian dishes with accompaniments inspired by Finnish and Lapland cuisine. Warm firelight, good food and an unhurried atmosphere make dinner at Aava part of the Arctic experience itself. Lapland Dinner Buffet served daily.

In-Igloo Drinks & Bites

Some evenings are best enjoyed in the privacy of your own igloo. Choose a Taste of Lapland sharing plate for two and complete the moment with a bottle of wine, sparkling wine, Champagne, beer or your favourite non-alcoholic drink. Our plates are available in Arctic Fish, Lapland Reindeer & Meat, Nordic Cheese, Signature Mixed and Sweet Arctic versions.

Reception Lounge

Our Reception Lounge is a relaxed place to sit down by the fireplace, enjoy a drink and take a moment between Arctic adventures. With a cosy sofa, a warm fireplace and a glass roof opening views to the northern sky, the lounge offers an inviting place to slow down throughout the day and evening. Hot and cold drinks, selected wines, beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available during Reception opening hours. Enjoy your drink in the lounge.
